We Love Each Other

Our Story

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Ecclesiastes 4:9 .

It's true that there are memories that remain ever fresh even after many years, one of such memories was the day that I set my eyes on Victoria for the very first time.

In 2013, I met Victoria for the first time when I was in my fifth year at the University of Abuja. At the time, I was the President of the Fellowship of Christian Students(FSC). Her brother had sent her to give me a package in respect of a fellowship evangelistic outreach.

Upon meeting her, I thanked her for the package. Even though it was a brief meeting, I was intrigued by her as she gave the look that says “I had to go through a lot of stress because of you”. I figured that it must have been quite challenging for her to locate my faculty since she was still a new student.

Little did I know that 6-month later🤷🏽‍♂️, I would interview her as she was one of the students nominated to be among the executives of the fellowship.

Well! The Interview was an interesting one, I was impressed by her passionate love for God👌. The interview combined with our first meeting opened up a genuine desire in me to get to know her and help her in every way I can as a good pastor should (with no strings attached).

I was convinced that she was very special with a beautiful heart. Over the years, we became good friends till I graduated from the university.

Our love relationship begun as love story scripted by God himself who is LOVE. This would only explain how for her post graduatuate study, she got admission to the same University at Australia where I studied Ph.D.

Now Australia has become our city of love where I popped the question and her response made me the happiest man alive🕺.

Victoria, my beautiful Queen, I'm so favoured that I found you. You're the answer to my prayers. You are my muse❤️, the strength of our love has been a source of inspiration to me over the years.

Loving you is my second nature. Loving you is so easy and truly refreshing. I will choose you over and over again. You're my dream come true.

My heart jumps for joy at the thought of being your husband on 17th December 2022.🥳

I'm so grateful🙌 to have been afforded the opportunity of meeting my handsome Prince early on my life's journey and experiencing life with him💃💃💃💃.

I met Isaac in 2013 at University of Abuja during my 100 level. My brother had instructed me to give a package to Isaac who was at the time the leader of a campus fellowship.

Being sent on an erand to someone I had never met before was not as easy as I expected🤦‍♀️. It was like an ultimate search😭 since I didn't know a lot of places as a new student. Alas! my search came to an end 🤧as I finally met him. Even in my tired state🥴, I couldn't help but notice the tall, dark and handsome Isaac, all dressed in well ironed shirt, trouser and tie as compared to the other student on my campus. His appearance definitely made a statement👌. In my mind, I was like "Guy! what's the showing off for. Haba! this your dressing is too serious, be calming down"🤣🤣🤣. I Iater discovered that medical students were mandated to be corporately dressed for lectures🤷‍♀️.

Upon giving him the package, you would have thought that he would have a more engaging conversation with me to show empathy considering the stress I had to go through to find him🤨. Omo! the conversation was the shortest conversation I ever had 🤦‍♀️. I thought to my self "What is he feeling like sef🙄"

Six months later, I was nominated to be among the Executives of our fellowship. Guess who interviewed me😁? I was interviewed by Bro Isaac (as he was then called).

After the interview, we exchanged phone numbers💃💃💃💃. It was the beginning of a beautiful friendship and over the years he has exemplified deep spirituality, excellence, selflessness and so much more. The privilege of being mentored by him spiritually, academically and socially is a gift that I would never recover from💃💃💃.

It feels like yesterday when our friendship evolved into a love made in heaven as our hearts proclaimed love for one another ❤️.

It's so overwhelming how God has so powered up our Love and orchestrated my admission for post-graduate study to the same University at Australia where Isaac was studying for a PhD.

Drums roll🥁🥁! Love in the air with two hearts beating as One. Then, came the big question💃💃💃💃💃, and your guess is as good as mine…… I said YES💍.🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️.

Going down memory lane, I'm in awe that God jealousy protected my interest in making you have eyes for me and me alone. You're God's gift to me in countless ways. You're the treasure that God by himself sought out for me. You are the trophy of God's love to me. I love you with every fibre of my being.

I've lost count of the many times that I've stood in front of the mirror addressing myself as Mrs Akefe🤗🤗 and as days are fast approaching to 17 Dec 17 2022, the joy I feel is immeasurable💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
